Work Experience

Proud to nurture the next generation

Over the course of a week our work experience program introduces students to the skills and knowledge necessary to be an architect and gives them the opportunity to work from a brief to design and to make a scale model. At the end of the week students present their work to the practice. We offer plenty of opportunities to see techniques being put into use and through observation candidates gain an overview of the operation of a busy and lively design-led practice.

Potential applicants should be motivated towards architecture and are considering it as a career. Some drawing skills are an advantage.  The programme is aimed at Year 10 pupils.

Work experience spaces for 2019 are fully booked but if you would like to be considered as a candidate in 2020, please contact Andy Batty, Senior Architect at info@dka.co.uk outlining your interest and advising what dates you would like to attend. We look forward to hearing from you.

We ask our work experience students if they would like to write a blog for our website. Read some of the work experience posts HERE.
